Scope of work

As the UX Design Lead on this work, I worked on all aspects of this work, from early sketches to high fidelity UI. This involved examining the existing CIP interface, as well as many of the existing tools, to understand and unify them.

Problem Statement

How can MOFC improve its internal tools dashboard and update the design utilizing the recent design system refresh. How can the legacy tools be updated with that same design system to improve the visual design and improve the user experience of those tools.

CIP Platform

The Collective Insights Dashboard is the central nervous system for all of the MOFC internal tools. This work will walk through the redesign of the dashboard itself, as well as redesign on several of the tools within the CIP.

Dashboard Update

CIP Dashboard

MOFC had recently received a comprehensive, fully-fleshed out design system from a design agency, designed around a new customer database, and also to provide MOFC with a much needed, robust design system. It was with this toolkit that we began making both enhancements to the visual UI but also taking the opportunity to consider the system architecture and user experience.

Current CIP Dashboard

Early Wireframes

Different users may or may not see platform tools depending on their role and permissions. We started to explore the idea of surfacing only what a user may have access to vs. showing locked versions of tools they may have access to on different teams from that same user account.

Continuing Exploration, Aligning the UI, & Building New Components

The design system that MOFC commissioned had already crafted a visual language and concepted a top level navigation for internal tools. We wanted to carry that design forward with the rest of the CIP Dashboard and internal tools.

CIP Dashboard UI

Platform Tools

The work to update various CIP tools took place along side the dashboard update. This primarily involved a UI refresh, but we also took the time to discuss the specific needs for different tools with the departments and specialist staff who regularly used them.

Farmacy Matching

Our goal with updating many of our internal tools was primarily a chance for a visual refresh while still giving ourselves opportunities to level up the user experience. The Farmacy matching program monitors all enrollees to the Farmacy program and tracks their matching status. Farmacy is a food-as-healthcare initiative from MOFC for qualified participants.

Tool Update 1

Current User Flow

Early Wireframes

High Fidelity UI

As I began digging into higher fidelity UI designs, I was offered a new job, so this work go only to the point Iā€™m sharing. Below are the beginnings of the updated designs.

Service Insights Engine

The Service Insights Engine is a powerful analytics tool in which a user may run and review reports with complex data. The goal of the SIE is to provide customization with data visualization to provide the most recent data for various services.

Tool Update 2

Current User Flow

Early Wireframes

SIE is a complex tool with a lot of different ways to run reports and a huge variety of data to sift through. We started with a few of the more commonly used report types and data sets.

High Fidelity UI

Below are some of the high fidelity designs I started to develop for this project while I was with MOFC.
